It is unfortunate that many insurance companies do not cover critical accessibility equipment that people need to safely enter and exit their homes.
Not being able to safely enter/exit your home cuts you off from your friends and your community. It increases social isolation which, according to the CDC, can increase risk of stroke, dementia, heart disease, depression, anxiety, and risk of hospitalization.
At AmrampCARES we want to help bring the community together and help those who have been isolated due to mobility struggles safely get in and out of their home so they can get back to re-connecting with those they love.
